Women safety issues in india has become a big problem for our country where we live there is no safety for girls and Women. its issue increases day by day in India. it became a big Step Taking task for the Government and the society.

The sense of Safety among women aged 15 years and above in India has seen decline. Womens are still being Objectified and humiliated in every place of work. This is such a shame on the Government . 

There has such a some women safety issues where we need to women safety issues includes  gender discrimination, violence against women, dowry system , objectification of women and rape crisis etc.

Gender Discrimination

The first problem is discrimination on the basis of gender.it is quite prevalent in our country. for example due to the patriarchy in the mindsets of people of our nation.and many women left the opportunity by Quitting their jobs and letting go of many options.

Womens of our nation are facing several kinds of violence everyday and it has become a short of a routine for us to hear the news in our daily basics.

Even in the certain time of pandemic ( covid -19) the domestic violence against women is all more growing .  and it’s such a big women safety issues.

It is mind boggling to think that practice of this sort is still prevalent in our country after seeing such a vast development of India.

Objectification of women by entertainment industries is another reason why males take them for granted . The way women are portrayed in film songs , the words used to describe them are really very disgusting.

India has been characterised as one of the countries with the lower per capita rates in rape.The government also classifies consensual sex committed on the false promise of marriage as rape.Most rapes go unreported because the rape victim fear and humiliation, both India and through out the world.It is deeply  shamefulness that nearly 90 rape cases are reported daily in the country, many more going unreported. Our cultural herritage and value system have failed to protect the individual who are the foundation of society.The rape cases increased day by day in our country and government didn’t take any step for the crisis. the government is saving our party’s reputation.

The act defines sexual harassment as any physical advances, contact any type of sexual favors,showing pornography etc. this act is take stand for the sexual harasement regarding the women. Women’s safety and security are a top priority for the both central and state governments of india. And there is some steps where we can prevent from sexual harassment that is mentioned below:

Clothing and Curfews compulsory eye masks over men’s eyes after 6pm so they wont look at the women’s bodies at all and so they can’t possibly feel attraction.  Men should not  leave the home after 6pm to keep the road safe.

Physical Distancing No men should be allowed within 10m of a women’s presence unless verbally instructed otherwise. written permission better.

Group men should not be allowed to roam in groups of more than 2 after 6pm.

Martial arts if men feel the urge to assault , they should have male friends perform martial arts on them until the urge disappears.

Sounding alarms if men feel the urge to assault , they should sound an alarm to ensure they are caught by police immediately.

Support Groups men should create support groups for when they feel such urges. they should at the end of each support group self immolate.

Police Reforms –  There should be gender focused training in police. there is a need to create women police stations and engagement of mahila police volunteers.

Judicial reforms – There should be establishment of fast track punishment cases like rape , as a recommented by justice committee.

Training and Capacity Building – Manpower training and skill Building Programme for officers of different fields like safety , medical must be stepped up. The benefit of this training is a situation based on any problem we can handle easily.

Establishment of Rape Crisis centres – Rape crisis centres like in countries austrailia, canada and america etc. these centres can provide the rape victims with medical help, counselling and financial help by way of providing jobs opportunities etc.

Sensitivity on Part of Media – The media must be sensitive to the plight of the rape victim and must not highlight the name or any identification of the victim.Media is a Main part for handling this types of crisis.

Civil Society  Participation – Active participation of civilians against such crimes and helping state and law enforcement agencies in nabbing the criminal is critical.

Women and school girls should carry safety tools like paper spray in her bags that is help them in protecting themselves .

Self Defence Training – techniques and recommended behaviour under the threat of violence are systematically taught in self defence classes. commercial self defence education is a part of the martial arts industry in the wider sense.

Self Defence learning from the school level.

 self defence training is improve girls confidence for saving Yourself when that place is not stay anyone.Self Defence is a training of girl and women safety and security.We can start a self Defence training from a school level as a curriculum activities.

Good touch and Bad touch –  good touch feels caring , like a part on the head , back or bear hug. In comparison , a bad touch can hurt your body or feelings, such as prinching, hitting , or touching any private area.

We all should teach students from the age of schooling . Good touch and Bad touch should be taught to girls and boys.

The status of women safety issues in India has improved significantly in recent years , but there is still a long way to go.it is essential to recognize the achievement made so far and continue to work towards a more equitable and just society for women . India is lacking improvement for women safety. India should make strict laws for women safety.
